Consortium of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Riverfront Copthorne Majestic Hotel, recently resume operation after a nine months long overhaul and tedious revamp which costs total whopping $30million. The just renovated 574 guestrooms five-star hotel, have their conference facilities, communal space upgraded and more eco-friendly co-working spaces. Located along the Singapore River at 392 Havelock Avenue, Riverfront Copthorne Majestic Hotel gain traction in business and leisure travellers. Millennium Hotels and Resorts is an international well-known name under Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, the mainboard-listed real estate and development conglomerate City Developments. “The recent expansion for Riverfront Copthorne Majestic Hotel, particularly as MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions] travel gained back normalcy and in-person events return to the agenda,” says Kwek Eik Sheng, Managing Director of Millennium Hotels and Resorts. With increased demand of greener spaces, with corporate planners preferring hotels with strong sustainability features and initiatives. “We are well positioned to attract as much market share as possible in this fast-growing MICE market, and increase our competitive edge.” 33 volatile meeting ballroom are added across three floors. Sustainable and Eco-friendly measures are magnified through the usage of recyclable and biodegradable stationery, filtration system to filter water and a linen-less table set-up. Built-in filtration system are also individually installed in each hotel room, which according to the hotel chairman spokesperson, that will reduce significantly single-use plastic waste from bottled water consumption by 20%. “We have implemented creative and high-efficiency technology that reduces energy consumption, installed eco-friendly features such as in-room dispensers water system,” says Andy Tan, senior vice president of global operations and partnership at Millennium Hotels and Resorts.
